What is coolsculpting?

No matter how many squats and cardio you do, there will always be an amount of fat that simply refuses to disappear. This is where coolsculpting comes in. In simple terms, this procedure consists of cooling fat to eliminate it completely.

The great thing about this treatment is that it is effective and not invasive.  But does it really work?

The Beginnings

The procedure of cryolipolysis or coolsculpting was developed on the basis of the idea that cold can target fat cells. Scientists from Harvard, Dieter Manstein, MD and R. Rox Anderson, MD, observed that some children who ate popsicles got dimples on their cheeks.

This brought about the idea that the cold in the popsicles was removing fat cells from the children's cheeks, thus causing the dimples.

How does it Work?

The concept is actually pretty simple. The procedure targets and delivers controlled cooling to fat cells.  These cells become crystallized and eventually die.  Once these fat molecules are dead, your body will get rid of them through its natural means of disposal.

In general terms, the results of this procedure are long term.  This is because the fat is gone for good.  Once the fat molecules are eliminated by the body, they are not making a return trip.

The procedure is non-invasive and is the only fat-freezing procedure cleared by the FDA.  According to its promoters, the procedure is 100% natural and effective.

There has been press media about the effectiveness of the procedure, which seems to make people confident about the results.

How Much does it Cost?

No one said that having the body of your dreams was going to be easy or cheap. The cost of coolsculpting will depend on the number of sessions you need. Typically, a program can cost individuals between $2,000 and $4,000.
